Meet and network with all the right people to discuss the current challenges and develop ideas and solutions for 2014 and beyond

Acropolis-Vilmotte-2010-36_710x260-resizedThe 16th annual Next Generation Optical Networking event – 23-26th June 2014 (the flagship event of the WDM & Next Generation Optical series covering Europe, Asia, USA,. Africa and the Americas) is moving to Nice.

600+ professionals from the entire optical networking ecosystem – from service providers, data centre operators all the way to the system vendors and component vendors - gathered in Monaco for the 15th annual WDM & Next Generation Optical Networking – the most important optical conference in Europe.

With the combination of 110+ service providers and all the leading optical networking vendors in attendance, the opportunity was seized by all to meet and network with all the right people to discuss the current challenges for the industry and discover and highlight the solutions for these challenges going forward.

The discussion in 2013 focused on the themes of capacity demand and high bandwidth optical services, the evolution of legacy networks and the transition to next generation optical networks, OTN Evolution strategies, Optical network convergence, moving beyond 100G and the higher speeds debate, how to alleviate the tech investment crunch, NG ROADMs evolution, how to deliver Metro and Longhaul 100G, Transport SDN, Cloud and the needs of the data centre. With more than 80 speakers from leading international service providers (network operators, data centre, internet exchanges, education & public), solution providers and analysts across the 4 days, WDM & Next Generation Optical Networking 2013 provided a fully comprehensive agenda that covered all the major challenges and solutions for the optical networking industry from 2013 and beyond. Download the 2013 Post Event Report to find out more.

call-for-papersThe research and production process for the conference programme is now underway, giving you the ideal opportunity to share your thoughts on content for the agenda and to submit a case study proposal.  If you would like to actively share your knowledge and practical experience with the optical industry then we would be delighted to hear from you.  The goal of the event is to allow service providers (110 unique service provider companies in 2013) to exchange their ideas, develop expertise and share best practice.  The interactive programme incorporates a mixture of case study presentations, technical workshops and panel discussions and we would be happy to hear proposals for any of these formats.

Deadline for Papers is 5th December 2013

If you would like to contribute to the conference programme as a presenter, discussion leader or panellist, we invite you to submit papers or proposals for consideration no later than Thursday 5th December 2014. To submit your paper, click here or email your submission directly to Jane Watson at jwatson@iir-conferences.com
